Bulletin Boards

I had no idea that bulletin boards were so hard! It is taking me forever to get the seminary ones done. By the time I get them finished it will be time for next year to start. Auwe, here is the first one I finished - I am so happy with the way it turned out.

Does anyone have any ideas for this one? We are studying the New Testament.

Peace

So we all know that I have been whining about homework. Shantell (sorry, I spelled her name wrong on the last post) started this week and not only did all of the homework get done, there were no battles of will, no tears and a mom who is crying for happy reasons now. I am learning so much from this sweet teenager about patience and kindness. Thanks Shantell!

Food

We are so excited for fall break... Two weeks in Utah with family and friends. I would love to see all my friends! So I think that on Monday, October 6th we should meet for lunch - any takers?

Hula Hands

This is a picture of the darling keikis (children) from my halau (hula school.) How precious is that?

Hooray for Prayers

I am so grateful that Heavenly Father hears and answers prayers. Ever since Jackson started school, we have had a hard time doing homework together. Our personalities just rub (Jeff thinks that we are too much alike!) Anyway, the older he gets - 8 years now - the worse it gets. This year has been especially hard for me. One afternoon when I had finally sent Jack to his room, I knelt down to pray. (When all else fails...) and I had a very strong impression that I should call Chantel, one of the girls in my seminary class, and ask her if she would be willing to work with Jackson after school every day as a tutor. She was very excited about the prospect and Jackson is also very excited. But I don't think that either of them can even compare to the excitement I am feeling right now.

Anyway, just another little reminder that my Heavenly Father loves me.
